Advice
This
page contains information on setting up your job for the various
output devices we have.
Including advice on image file formats, the various resolutions
that are needed for print, and the various font problems you might
encounter.
For
point-by-point advice, specific to each service, just click on one
of the links to the right of the sreen.
For
jobs that are to be printed we would expect the following minimum
requirements;
- The
layout file(s) from the page layout program you have used: QuarkXPress
(preferred), or InDesign, Pagemaker or Freehand. We can also print
from HiResolution PDF files, however, you must have generated
the PDF files correctly for HiRes printing.
- All
placed/linked files (usually images/illustrations) that were used
in the page layout file, TIFF, EPS etc; these should be updated
and showing as OK and not modified.
- The
associated fonts that were used in both the page layout program
and illustration files. We need both the screen and printer fonts.
- Finally
we need a b/w or colour proof/comp of your work so that we can
check our output against yours.
